Brunswick, Maine – The Clark University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their 2011 seasons with 36th place and 31st place finishes at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon at Pickard Field.
On the men's side, Nathan Buck (Portland, Maine), who crossed the finish line in 137th place, was Clark's top finisher on the 8K course in a time of 27:23.36.
Erika Roth (Saco, Maine) completed the 6K course in 23:58.60, good for 104th place and the top finisher for the Cougars.
The event, which was hosted by Bowdoin College, featured 48 men's teams and 51 women's squads. Middlebury claimed the women's title with three top ten finishers, while Williams collected the men's title, edging out Middlebury and individual champion Michael Schmidt by one point.
