Women's Cross Country Season Comes To A Close

Brunswick, ME

Bowdoin College was the sight for today's NCAA Division III New England Region Cross Country Championships. Clark University placed 41st in the field comprised of 57 local college and universities. Fellow NEWMAC member MIT took home first place and league member Coast Guard also finished in the top 10.

Clark's Meghan Davinroy (Louisville, CO) was the top runner for the Cougars, posting a time of 24:48:60. Davinroy's pace landed her in 165th of the 382 competitors who scored. In 243rd was Senior, Camille Bales (Portland, OR) with a time of 25:57:34. Right behind Bales was fellow Senior, Yana Zubarev (Needham, MA) who crossed the finish line scoring in 247th. The fourth Cougar (and third senior) to add to the team score was Diana Argiles-Castillo (San Jose, Costa Rica) who came in 263rd today.

Coast Guard's Kaitlyn Mooney placed first individually in the Regional Championships, leading her team to finish in 8th. MIT had its top three runners all finish within the top 15, seperating them from the competitive field.

This race completes the 2018-19 fall season for the Clark women, a year that brought them team and individual success. Along with Bales, Zubarev, and Castillo, senior Liza French (Middleborough, MA) raced today and represented the Cougars this season.
