Waterford, Conn. – With a pair of runners finishing in the top 60 of a field packed with elite teams, the Clark University women's cross country team fared well in preparation for the upcoming NEWMAC Championships with a 15th place showing at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday morning at Harkness State Park.
Junior Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) was 45th (23:16).
Freshman Nicolina Braccio (Nashua, N.H.) was 58th (23:34).
Sophomore Maddy Doyle (South Berwick, Maine) was 154th (25:18).
Freshman Talia Neuhaus (Skokie, Ill.) was 157th (25:22).
Freshman Shannon Reault (Tyngsboro, Mass.) finished 182nd (26:07).
Sophomore Liza French (Middleboro, Mass.) was 199th (26:43).
Junior Emily Monahan-Morang (Freeport, Maine) finished 205th (26:50).
"Great race for the women," said Clark University head coach Bill Gray. "We came in with the mindset to do well against NEWMAC schools and came away feeling strong for the league championship in a few weeks."
The Cougars are off until September 29 when they take part in the NEWMAC Championships hosted by Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
