Quiban and Legare Named to NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. - Clark University seniors Rayme Quiban (Seattle, Wash.) and Kacey Legare (Chicopee, Mass.) were named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 2018 Volleyball Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday. A total of 45 student-athletes were honored. 

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2017 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Quiban, who was named the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week title twice this season, earns NEWMAC Academic All-Conference for the second time in her career as she was also honored her junior year. Legare was also named NEWMAC Academic All-Conference as a sophomore and junior.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to acadamic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
