Eagles Soar By Volleyball, 3-1

Nashua, N.H. – Host Daniel Webster erased a one-set deficit early on and rattled off three straight set victories on their way to a 3-1 win over Clark University in non-league volleyball action on Tuesday evening.

Game Information:
Daniel Webster 3, Clark University 1 (15-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-22)
Daniel Webster 7-4, Clark University 8-5
Mario Vagge Gymnasium, Nashua, N.H.

How It Happened:
The Eagles got a match-high 18 kills from Hannah Koelher and they rolled by winning the final three sets to secure the victory.

Things looked to be going in favor of the Cougars after an opening set that saw them hit .375 and win rather easily, 25-15.

That momentum was quickly zapped away from Clark as Daniel Webster took the second set 25-13 and then the following one, 25-21.

Now ahead 2-1, the Eagles smashed down 16 kills in the final set to end the match with a 25-22 decision.

In addition to Koehler's big night, Nicole Beard handed out 37 assists and Madeline Rouiler racked up a double-double with 11 kills, ten digs and two service aces.

Clark was paced by an impressive night from Hannah Fox (Dracut, Mass.), who finished with 12 kills on .667 hitting, while Rachel Webb (Celina, Texas) posted totals of 30 assists and 13 digs.

Up Next:
The slate doesn't get any easier for Clark as they host league rival Babson and regional power Amherst on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
