Clark Women Lose Home Match Against Mount Holyoke

The Women's Tennis team hosted today's match and were defeated by Mt. Holyoke, 9-0. Clark's loss drops them to 2-12 on the season with only two matches left. On the other end, Mt. Holyoke's win is their 10th on the year with two to go. 

 

Doubles:

-Jillian Skulsky (Marshfield, MA) and her partner Maggie Tarbox (Lebanon, CT) were defeated in the No. 1 match. That match-up finished in an 8-0 score. 

-Mount Holyoke's duo took the No. 2 match. Falling 8-1 was Clark's Anna Gates (North Scituate, RI) and Kathryn Benson (Hudson, MA)

-In a close match, the Cougar duo Chloe Dunnell (Montclair, NJ) and Lily Meadows (Bradenton, FL) competed to an 8-5 loss.

Singles:

-Clark's No. 1 Skulsky lost a close first set 6-4, followed by a 6-0 score in favor of Mt. Holyoke in the second set. 

-Falling in straight sets was No. 2 Cougar, Anna Gates. Mount Holyoke claimed the point with scores of 6-2 and 6-1. 

-Elizabeth Garfield (Cape Elizabeth, ME) represented Clark in the No. 3 spot. She fell in two sets, 6-0 and 6-1.

-For the Cougars, Elizabeth Tchantouridze (Northfield, VT) competed in the No. 4 match. She was defeated in a well contested match, 6-3 and 6-2. 

-Retiring after the first set was Clark's Maggie Tarbox in the No. 5 singles match.

-Meadows' efforts in the No. 6 match fell short. She lost in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-2.

-Clark's Senior Day will be celebrated this Friday, April 16th. Join us down at the Corash Tennis Courts to cheer on Clark's seniors, Maggie Tarbox and Kaylyn Landahl. The 5:00PM match is against NEWMAC foe, Emerson. 

-Mt. Holyoke travels to Wellesley College on Saturday, April 20th for a noon match.
