• Moody, Carson, Siewert, Dubick Named to NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference Teams

    Westwood, Mass. –The Clark University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams placed a combined four student-athletes on the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 2019 Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference Teams. The NEWMAC women's swimming and diving student-athletes totaled 99 honorees this year while the men totaled 40 honorees.

    Worcester, Mass.- On Sunday, the Clark University swimming and diving teams wrapped up their season with day four of the NEWMAC Championships at WPI. Both the MIT men and women won the tournament. The MIT men have now captured eleven consecutive tournaments, the women have captured nine consecutive. In the standings, the Clark men finished seventh with 219 points, and the Clark women finished in tenth with 242 points.

    Worcester, Mass.- The Clark University swimming and diving teams completed day three of the NEWMAC championships at WPI on Saturday. At the conclusion of the day’s events, the women jumped two places to eighth with a score of 184, and the men remained in seventh place, with a score of 165. Overall in the standings, MIT holds top position in both the men’s and the women’s brackets.

    Worcester, Mass.-  On Saturday, the Clark University women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams competed in a dual meet against Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. The Cougars ultimately fell to the Judges with a final score on the women’s side of 153-116, and on the men’s side, 182-91.

    Worcester, Mass.- On Saturday, the Clark University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams celebrated senior day during a dual meet with Coast Guard at the Kneller Athletic Center. The Cougars ended up dropping both meets to the visiting Bears with a score of 157-69 for the women, and 156.5 to 74.5 on the men’s side.

    Worcester, Mass.-  The Clark University women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams took on cross-town rival Worcester Polytechnic Institute in an exciting conference matchup last night at WPI. Despite a heroic effort, Clark was handed two losses on the night with the final score for the women 117 to 89, while the men fell 116 to 94.

    Worcester, Mass. - The Clark University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams dropped a pair of losses to Trinity College at home on Saturday. The final score for the men’s team was 197 to 93, and the women fell 189.5 to 96.5.

    Worcester, Mass. - The Clark University women’s swimming and diving team picked up a win against Rhode Island College at home on Saturday. Six different Cougars won individual events on the day, and overall Clark won nine of the twelve races, beating Rhode Island College 108 to 54.

    North Dartmouth, Mass. -  The Clark women’s swimming and diving team came away with a big win at Umass Dartmouth on Friday night. The Cougars beat the Corsairs by a score of 145 to 112 with 8 different Cougars getting on the winners podium. The night started with a bang as Clark took the win in the first event the 400 Yard Medley Relay behind the stellar effort of Quinn Mitchell (West Hartford, Conn), Amelia Muratori (Southbury, Conn), Olivia Winters (Maplewood, NJ), Allison Dubick (Cornwall, NY).  They finished a full 20 seconds ahead of their competitors with a time of 3:23.48. 
  • Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Gompei Invitational

    Worcester, Mass. - The Clark swim teams traveled to cross town rival, Worcester Polytechnical Institute on Friday to compete across three days in the prestigious Gompei Invitational. Fifteen teams from all over the Atlantic states converged to compete in Worcester. At the end of the event, Clark finished 14th with 278 points.

    Bridgewater, Mass. - On Saturday afternoon, the Clark University Women’s Swimming and Diving team lost on the road to Bridgewater State. The Bears escaped with a win, only beating Clark by eight points, with a final score of 138 to 130. Clark was anchored by the strong effort of Alison Falder (New Milford, Conn) who won three events for the women: the 1000 Yard Freestyle, the 500 Yard Freestyle, and the 200 Yard IM.

    Worcester, Mass. - Women’s Swimming and Diving finished up their second day at the Worcester City Championships on Saturday. Two Clark groups swam in the Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. Finishing 7th for Clark in a field of 20 with a finish time of 1:47.53 were Amelia Muratori (Southbury, CT), Allison Dubick (Comwall, NY), Quinn Mitchell (West Hartford, Conn), and Elizabeth Cownie (Concord, Mass).

    Bristol, R.I.—The Clark University women’s swimming and diving team finished 5th out of seven teams competing in the CCC invitational at Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks came in first place with 254 points as they defeated Regis, UMass Dartmouth, Clark, University of New England, Western New England, and Gordon.

MIT accumulated 1314 pointed which was 312 ahead of second place Wheaton College. Behind MIT and Wheaton was Springfield in third (795.5 points), WPI in fourth (721), Coast Guard in fifth (575.5), Wellesley in sixth (449), Smith in seventh (261), Mount Holyoke in eighth (242), Clark in ninth (230) and Babson in tenth (203). The MIT women's swimming and diving team won its eighth straight New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship.

After one session, MIT leads in the team standings with 64 points. Behind the Engineers is the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with 60 points, Wheaton College with 58, Springfield and WPI with 52, Wellesley with 44, Mount Holyoke with 40, Smith with 34 and Clark and Babson with 30.

The NEWMAC women's swimming and diving student-athletes totaled 77 honorees this year.
