Tarbox, Kerstetter, Legare, Ezemma Named to Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Team

Westwood, Mass.—The Clark University women's basketball team placed four student-athletes on the 2018-19 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office on Monday. The NEWMAC women's basketball student-athletes totaled 42 winners this year.

Seniors Maggie Tarbox (Lebanon, Conn.), Maya Kerstetter (Northampton, Mass.), Kacey Legare (Chicopee, Mass.), and Ogechi Ezemma (Hope Valley, R.I.) make up the four Clark women's basketball 2018-19 honorees. This is Legare, Kerstetter, and Ezemma's third time earning this honor as they have received it every year they were eligible.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2018 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
