How It Happened:

Ahead 13-4 a little more than five minutes into the game, the Cougars closed the period on another 13-4 burst - highlighted by three Gwyneth Ivory (Ashland, Mass.) baskets – and when the dust settled, the Scarlet and White were ahead 26-8 at the end of the first quarter.

Still ahead by 19 midway through the second quarter, Clark ran off 11 unanswered points that included a traditional three-point play from Aretha Sullivan (Worcester, Mass.) and five straight points from Kacey Legare (Chicopee, Mass.), pushing the Cougar advantage to 40-10.

As the half wore down, the Cougars saw their lead balloon to 50-16 on a pair of Legare triples and a Sami Dokus (Littleton, Mass.) score.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Clark lead reached its peak at 48 when Rachael Chen (Needham, Mass.) grabbed an offensive rebound and the ball eventually found Legare who scored inside, making the score, 72-24.

Beyond The Boxscore:
As the score might indicate, Clark held advantages in numerous categories, including a 36-12 edge on points in the paint, a 17-1 difference in second chance points and they converted Becker's 31 turnovers into 30 points.

Inside The Numbers:
O'Gara finished with a game-high 20 points to go along with seven assists and five steals, while Legare was incredibly efficient in getting a career-high 16 points in just 11 minutes off the bench.
