Bristol, R.I. – Buoyed by an excellent all-around performance from all-tournament team selection Sam O'Gara (Worcester, Mass.), Clark University made quick work of Becker College, rolling to a 79-41 win over the Hawks in the consolation game of the 2016 Worcester City Tip Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:
Clark scored 13 of the game's first 17 points and led by as many as 20 points in the first quarter on their way to the lopsided victory.
Ahead 13-4 a little more than five minutes into the game, the Cougars closed the period on another 13-4 burst - highlighted by three Gwyneth Ivory (Ashland, Mass.) baskets – and when the dust settled, the Scarlet and White were ahead 26-8 at the end of the first quarter.
Still ahead by 19 midway through the second quarter, Clark ran off 11 unanswered points that included a traditional three-point play from Aretha Sullivan (Worcester, Mass.) and five straight points from Kacey Legare (Chicopee, Mass.), pushing the Cougar advantage to 40-10.
As the half wore down, the Cougars saw their lead balloon to 50-16 on a pair of Legare triples and a Sami Dokus (Littleton, Mass.) score.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Clark lead reached its peak at 48 when Rachael Chen (Needham, Mass.) grabbed an offensive rebound and the ball eventually found Legare who scored inside, making the score, 72-24.

As the score might indicate, Clark held advantages in numerous categories, including a 36-12 edge on points in the paint, a 17-1 difference in second chance points and they converted Becker's 31 turnovers into 30 points.
Inside The Numbers:
O'Gara finished with a game-high 20 points to go along with seven assists and five steals, while Legare was incredibly efficient in getting a career-high 16 points in just 11 minutes off the bench.
Dokus (seven points, four rebounds) and Ivory (eight points, three rebounds) combined for 15 points, while Sullivan provided six points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
The Scarlet and White return to action on Tuesday with an afternoon showdown with Anna Maria. Tipoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
