Cougars Remain Unbeaten With 68-49 Win

Boston, Mass. – Visiting Clark University scored 34 points in each half and the Cougars came away with a 68-49 win over Simmons College in non-league women's basketball action on Tuesday evening.

With the win, Clark improves to 3-0, while the Sharks remain winless at 0-3.

The Sharks (0-3) tied the game twice during the second half but were unable to hang on as the Clark improved to 3-0.

Emily Reilly (Marlboro, Mass.) led the way for the Cougars with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Megan Grondin (Cumberland, Maine) chipped in with 12 points and five boards.

Brooke Brennan (Weston, Mass.) connected on four three-pointers en route to her 14 points and Ashleigh Condon (Hull, Mass.) helped out with eight points, six rebounds and four steals.

The Sharks were led by captains Hannah May and Liz O'Connor who each scored 10 points. Freshman Jen Janiak added eight and Olivia LaCroix recorded three assists and three steals.

The Sharks return to action on Monday, November 26th at home versus Wellesley College at 7:00 p.m., while Clark hosts Springfield College on November 28th to open NEWMAC conference play.
