The Lead: The Clark University softball team fell to the Beavers of Babson College in a pair of New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Sunday evening. The Beavers used a perfect game on the mound from junior Brooke Stock (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and eight runs in the sixth inning to lift them to a 10-0 victory in game one before edging Clark 1-0 in game two.

Game One: Babson 10, Clark 0

-The Beavers put up two runs in the top of the first inning starting off with an RBI double from junior Jacqueline Paul (Burlington, N.J.) to score senior Ashley Tango (Reading, Mass.). First year Isabel Aguilar (Avon, Conn.) singled to right field to score Paul for the 2-0 lead.

-Juniors Kayla Schinik (Watchung, N.J.) and Annie Mitchell (Rehoboth, Mass.), seniors Alex Corrigan (Middletown, N.J.), Josephine Mares (Houston, Texas), and Tango all added RBIs before Aguilar homered over the right field fence for three more runs and the final 10-0 final victory.

-Aguilar finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs to lead Babson to victory. Stock pitched all six innings, did not allow a hit or a run scored, did not walk a single batter, and finished with 13 strikeouts.

-Senior Taylor Erickson (Natick, Mass.) started on the mound for Clark. She pitched five innings, allowed eight hits, four runs scored, and struck out two batters. Sophomore Alexis Redish (Howell, N.J.) pitched the final inning and allowed six runs scored.
