Worcester, Mass.- On rainy and sleeting Sunday, the women's rowing team took part in the National Invitational Rowing Championship on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester to close out their season. Participants in the race ranged across the Northeast with schools such as Bates, Mount Holyoke, Ithaca, Wesleyan, Williams and Tufts competing. Clark raced two boats, the varsity eight and the second varsity eight. Each boat raced one in a heat, and then in a final. Both of Clark's boats competed in the third level finals.
Racing in the Varsity 8 for Clark were, Sophie Spiliotopoulos (Arlington, Va), Halley Glier (Shelburne, Mass), 7: Grace Schiaffo (Florence, Mass), 6: Ella Scott (Hope, Maine), 5: Emily Ladda (Farmington, Conn), 4: Madison Hincher (Gorham, Maine) 3. Olivia Young (Crandford, N.J.) , 2: Jessica Martinez (Amherst, Mass) and Emily Thibault (Williamsville, Vt). Clark took fourth in the race finishing above Mount Holyoke, Connecticut College, and Simmons. They finished with a time of 7:40.727.
Racing in the second varsity eight for Clark were: Kalea Barger (Lakeside, Conn.), Stroke: Hannah Honig (Stowe, Mass), 7: Cate Brown (Waban, Mass), 6: Cora Flynn (Chelmsford, Mass) 5: Paige Taylor (Great Barrington, Mass), 4: Kayla Rich (Billerica, Mass) 3: Alice Frankie Hurley (Seattle, Wash.) 2. Juliette Gale (Bedford, Mass) 1. Shannon Reault (Tyngsboro, Mass). Their crew finished third with a final time of 7:18.647.
