Hartford, Conn. - Women's rowing competed in Hartford, Conn. at Riverside Park on Saturday at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta. The beautiful weather was a perfect kick off to the fall season. Clark competed in three races.
Racing in the Open 8 for Clark was Jessie Klitus-Flaim (Easthampton, Mass.), Emily Thibault (Williamsville, Vt.), Ella Scott (Hope, Maine), Emily Ladda (Farmington, Conn.), Jessica Martinez (Amherst, Mass.), Hannah Honig (Stow, Mass.), Paige Taylor (Great Barrington, Mass.), Jacqueline Pawlak (Middletown, Conn.), and Kayla Rich (Billerica, Mass.). They finished with a final time of 21:48.49, placing them above boats from UCONN, SUNY Geneseo, WP, Smith, Franklin Pierce, and Assumption.
Racing in Women's Open Novice 8 and finishing with a time of 26:01.29 was Kalea Barger (Lakeside, Conn.), Kate Brown (Waban, Mass.), Cora Flynn (Chelmsford, Mass.), Maddie Hincher (Gorham, Maine), Alice Frankie Hurley (Seattle, Wash.), Alfonsina Esteva (Conconut Grove, Fla.), Shannon Reault (Tyngsboro, Mass.), Sydney Macedo (Kennebunk, Maine), and Elena Sissell (Media, Penn.).
Getting on the board for Clark in the Women's Open 4+ were two boats. In the first boat was Klitus-Flaim, Thibault, Scott, Ladda, and Martinez. They finished with a time of 26:08.45.
The team will return to action on October 13th, at Lake Quinsigamond for the Head of the Snake Regatta.
