-This year's James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park was another competitive field, full of great runners from all over. The 23rd annual event was won by Trinity this afternoon, followed by Umass Dartmouth and Norwich in second and third place. Clark University posted an average time of 30:12.38, for 19th overall in today's field.
-Clark first-year, Cameron Keenan (South Glastonbury, CT), was the best runner for the Cougars today with a time of 28:59.66 (80th overall). Just behind Keenan was Senior Cameron Mitchell (Medford, MA) and Ryan Ewanyk (East Northport, NY). Mitchell finished 90th and Ewanyk finished 105th. Posting a time of 30:44.44 was good enough for 116th place today for Bobby Sharma (Kobe, Hyogo).
-Trinity's top five runners all finished in the top 20, propelling their team to first place. UMass-Dartmouth had two runners in the top 5 today, helping secure their 2nd place finish. Norwich's team ran to third place today, not far behind the pace set by Trinity. Plymouth State's Senior Sam Brunnette was the top individual runner at Stanley Park, leading the Panthers to fourth place with his 25:08.60 time.
-Clark travels to Bowdoin next Saturday, October 13th. The invitational event in Maine is the last event before the NEWMAC championships later this month.
