Worcester, Mass.—The Clark University men's swimming and diving team finished seventh at the conclusion of day one of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships on Thursday. Clark has collected a combined 46 points.
MIT sits in first place with 131 points while Springfield College trails them with 119 points. Coast Guard holds the third place slot with 76 points followed by Wheaton College with 61 points. Babson (54), WPI (53), and Clark (46) round out the 5th, 6th, and 7th slots respectively.
Senior Noah Liscord (Wayne, Maine), sophomores Konstantin Drallios (Astoria, N.Y.) and Eric Cobert (Newton, Mass.), and first year Daniel Broderick (Tolland, Conn.) finished in 7th place in the men's 800 yard freestyle relay in their first event of the weekend. They posted a time of 7:38.29.
Junior Rowan Moody (Ellington, Conn.) placed 9th in the 3-meter dive with a score of 340.35.
The Cougars are back in the pool at WPI tomorrow, Friday, February 22nd for day two of the NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
