Lane Lifts Cougars to Victory Over Dean, 5-0

The Lead: A high-scoring Clark University offense scored a pair of first half goals then tacked on three more in the final 45 minutes and host Dean College fell 5-0 in non-league men's soccer action on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Junior Trevor Sheridan (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) who entered the game with three assists, finally got on the board himself just 15:36 into the contest.

-Sheridan had a hand in the Cougars' second goal, setting up freshman Daniel Moura's (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) first career tally less than three minutes later to send the visitors into the half with a 2-0 lead.

-Clark had a trio of second half scores as junior Charlie Lane (Southborough, Mass.) had a pair of unassisted strikes sandwiched around a Connor Ross (Atkinson, N.H.) marker that he assisted on.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

-Bulldog netminder Devin Moore (Walpole, Mass.) had an impressive 15 saves, although he only played 65 minutes of the game. 

-Clark outshot the Bulldogs 32-7 and the Cougars also had five more corner kicks, 7-2. 

-Clark netminder Marco White (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) needed to only make one save to record his second shutout in as many starts.
