HOW IT HAPPENED

-Clark opened up scoring with 5:57 off the clock when senior Jack Stark (Abington, Mass.) sent the ball up the left side to junior Trevor Sheridan (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) who crossed the ball to first year Connor Ross (Atkinson, N.H.) in the middle of the box. Ross knocked in his first collegiate goal when his hard shot hit the crossbar and fell back behind the goal line for the 1-0 lead.

-Just under three minutes later the Cougars capitalized on a corner kick play. Sheridan took the corner kick and lifted the ball to the middle of the box where Munroe jumped up to head in the ball to the top left corner of the net for the 2-0 advantage.

-30 seconds later, with 36:23 on the clock, Stark won a ball on the left side of the field just under half field and found Munroe on the far right side. Munroe launched a shot over the diving keeper to the top left of the net as the Cougars took a 3-0 lead.

-Clark held offensive control through the rest of the first half and capitalized on a scoring opportunity with under two minutes to play. Sophomore Alex Nicholson (Barrington, R.I.) crossed the ball to the left post where junior Evan Jurkowski (Ludlow, Mass.) was to deflect the ball in and give the hosts the 4-0 lead heading into the break.

-The last goal of the game came 12 minutes into the second half. Sophomore Cooper Richards (Wellesley, Mass.) led freshman Alex Maiorano (Shrewsbury, Mass.) with a pass down the left lane. As Colby-Sawyer's goalkeeper, Shane Sacks (Huntington Station, N.Y.), came charging out of the goal, Maiorano lifted the ball up and over him for the final 5-0 victory.
