Willimantic, Conn. – Clark University senior striker Zack Blais (Tiverton, R.I.) has been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game it was announced on Tuesday afternoon by Executive Officer Greg DeVito.
Blais will join more than 40 other Division III men's soccer stars from all around New England on Sunday, November 27 at Brandeis University's Gordon Field at 1:00 p.m.
The participants are divided into two teams and Blais will play for a NEISL white team that will square off against a NEISL red team that will have three familiar faces from league rival Babson.
A second-team all-conference pick in 2015, Blais earned first-team all-conference honors in 2016 when he finished with a career-best 15 points (six goals, three assists).
He opened the season with a pair of goals in a 2-0 win over Rhode Island College and kept on going. He had assists in wins over Mount Ida and Colby-Sawyer before converting a penalty kick in the 2-1 double-overtime win at WPI.
Blais found the back of the net in a narrow 3-2 loss to Springfield College in early October, then had another assist in a shutout win over Rivier. More goals came as he notched another against Framingham State in a 3-1 win and then converted another penalty kick in the conference semifinal loss to Springfield College.
Overall he appeared in 67 contests, making 45 starts on his way to 40 career points (15 goals, ten assists).
