• Pierce, Mandracchia, and King Named to NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

    WESTWOOD, Mass. – Junior Jack Pierce (Westborough, Mass.), senior Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.), and junior Brandon King (Eastham, Mass.) of the Clark University men's lacrosse team were named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 2018 Men's Lacrosse Academic All-Conference Team. The NEWMAC men's lacrosse student-athletes totaled 35 honorees this year.

    WESTWOOD, Mass. - Clark University men's lacrosse placed four student-athletes on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 2018 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Team as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. Junior Brandon King (Eastham, Mass.) was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference first team while senior Will Madracchia (Melrose, Mass.), sophomore Bobby Philbin (Ridgefield, Conn.), and junior goalkeeper Nathan Maselek (Marblehead, Mass.) were all named to the All-Conference second team. Senior Whit Merrit (Leverett, Mass.) was named to the NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Junior attackman Jack Vail (Franklin, Mass.) posted a career-best eight points to lead The Pride to their fifth NEWMAC victory of the season.

James (Stamford, Conn.), Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.), and Whit Merrit (Leverett, Mass.).

    The Clark University men’s lacrosse team cruised to a 12-10 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) victory over the Wheaton College Lyons on Saturday evening in the third annual Renny Classic (Alzheimer’s Awareness) game. The Cougars raised close to $3,000 to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association in Worcester, Mass.

    Worcester, Mass.— The Clark University men’s lacrosse team will be hosting the third annual Renny Classic on Saturday, April 14th at their New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game with the Lyons of Wheaton College at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place at Granger Field on Beaver, Street in Worcester, Mass. The Renny Classic is an Alzheimer’s Awareness game that the men’s lacrosse team began hosting back in 2016. The event is held in honor of men’s lacrosse player, Whit Merrit’s father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2014.

Junior Eric Megnia (West Barnstable, Mass.) led Skidmore with three goals in the victory.

    WESTWOOD, Mass. - The Clark Univeristy men's lacrosse team was tabbed third in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 2018 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the league office on Thursday morning. After claiming the programs 10th consecutive conference crown last spring the Springfield Pride have been tabbed as the preseason favorites, claiming seven first place votes. Voting for the preseason poll is conducted by the head men's lacrosse coaches.
