Westwood, Mass.—Clark University senior, Cal Slepkow (Rehoboth, Mass.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Slepkow pitched a complete game and allowed just three hits and one earned run leading Clark to a 3-2 win over Coast Guard in a NEWMAC battle on Friday afternoon. He now ranks first in the conference in total wins with seven. The right handed ace finished with five strikeouts in his third complete game of the season and now sits at 7-3 overall. Slepkow is now tied in Clark baseball program history for the most wins in a season.
The Cougars sit at 13-19 overall and 5-10 in conference play and kick off the week with a non-conference game with Fitchburg State at home on Tuesday, April 23rd at 3:30 p.m.
