Sophomore Andrew Krause (St. Louis, Mo.) doubled to right field to score O'Shea and he crossed home on a Cougar error to claim the 3-1 lead.

-The Engineers added another run in the top of the fourth when sophomore Zach Roberts (West Chester, Penn.) singled to center and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by his classmate Tommy Hannan (San Marino, Calif.) and eventually came home on a throwing error by Clark (4-1).

-Johnston led off with a double to centerfield in the top of the fifth before a single from Krause put him on third and a sacrifice fly from junior Thomas Allison (Kingwood, Texas) sent him home (5-1). Senior Alec Kushner (Cooper City, Fla.) homered for two RBIs to lift MIT to a 7-1 lead after five and a half innings.

-Clark got a run back in the bottom of the fifth when junior Nick Jordan (Seaford, N.Y.) singled to left field and came home when a long fly ball from Thibault was misplayed by the Engineers in center field (7-2). The remaining four innings were scoreless as MIT held on for the final 7-2 victory.
