Burlas Named Cross Country Head Coach
Worcester, Mass. - Former Assumption College standout Brian Burlas has been named the head coach of the men's and women's cross country programs, Director of Athletics Linda Moulton has announced.
He takes over for Louis Cote who resigned in early August following two years at the helm of the Cougar running program.
Burlas will oversee all aspects of the running program including recruiting, travel and student-athlete development.
A former runner for the Division II Greyhounds, Burlas was a four-year letterwinner, earning Dean’s List and Athletic Directors Academic citations.
Burlas, who graduated from Assumption in 2007 with a degree in Social and Rehabilitation Services, is currently employed in the Northborough/Southborough School District as an instructional support liaison at Algonquin Regional High School.
His father, Mike Burlas, is Clark men's basketball head coach Paul Phillips' top assistant.
