How It Happened:
The Scarlet and White came out on fire racing to a 25-15 win in the opening set against the Lancers. Things tightened up in the second set but Clark was still able to prevail, albeit 28-26. Then in the third set, the Cougars put the match away early rolling to a 25-14 win and a 3-0 victory.

Ana Mercado (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) paced everyone with 15 kills on .387 hitting, while Courtney Pharr (Seattle, Wash.) chipped in with seven kills of her own to go along with five digs.

The two headed setting tandem of Rachel Webb (Celina, Texas) and Tori Whitney (Sunderland, Mass.) combined for 32 of the Cougars 36 helpers in the win.

Defensively, Mia Cattaneo (Santa Barbara, Calif.) registered 22 digs, while both Justine Bohl (Amherst, Mass.) and Savannah Sanford (San Anselmo, Calif.) each had ten.

In the nightcap against the Bobcats, the Cougars won the first set, 25-18 before Bates stormed back to take the second, 25-20 – just the fifth set the Scarlet and White have lost at home all season.

Clark responded by taking the final two sets, 25-20 and 25-19, respectively to earn the tri-match sweep.

Marina Ramos (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), who only played in one set in the win over the Lancers to begin the day, turned in another excellent performance in the nightcap, racking up 24 kills and 17 digs.

Pharr, meanwhile, tacked on eight kills as did Hannah Fox (Dracut, Mass.), while both Jacqueline Jimenez-Maldonado (San Francisco, Calif.) and Mercado finished with seven.

Webb dished out 45 assists and a host of people reached double figure dig totals led by Cattaneo and her 25. Rayme Quiban (Seattle, Wash.) had 15, Webb added 11 and Sanford provided ten more.

Inside The Numbers:
Clark remains unbeaten at home this season, posting an 11-0 ledger and have now won seven in a row overall.

Coach Speak:
