Kravetz Named NEWMAC Academic All-Conference

Boston, Mass. – For the second consecutive year, Clark University women's tennis captain Rebecca Kravetz (Wayland, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference team it was announced by Executive Director Patrick Summers on Tuesday evening.

A psychology major with a minor in education, Kravetz helped the Cougars to their first conference win since 2011 this season under first-year head coach Laurance Kimbrough as they welcomed ten new student-athletes to their roster.

Along with her athletic and academic pursuits, Kravetz serves on the University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board as treasurer.

In order to be selected, honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2014 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Kravetz is just one of 31 women's tennis student-athletes from across the conference to be selected to this team.
