Cougars Drop in Dual Meet with Wheaton and Mount Holyoke

Worcester, Mass.--The Clark University women's swimming and diving team hosted NEWMAC opponents Wheaton College and Mount Holyoke College on Thursday afternoon at the Kneller Center Pool. The Cougars took losses to both of the visiting teams while Wheaton downed Mount Holyoke 163-77.

Freshman Alison Falder (New Milford, Conn.) led the way in the women's 1000 yard Freestyle with a time of 11:41.33. She also placed second in the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:45.73.

Junior Quinn Mitchell (West Hartford, Conn) took fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle with a 2:10.13 finish.

Junior Amelia Muratori (Southbury, Conn.) posted a season best time in the 50 yard freestyle as she touched the wall in 25.98 to earn third place. She later took first place in the 100 yard freestyle in the 15th event of the day with a time of 58.45.

Angela Testa (Worcester, Mass.) posted her season best score on the diving board with a score of 146 in the 1 meter dive.

Mitchell led the way for Clark in the 200 yard Butterfly with a 2:26.11 time and second place finish.

Allison Dubick (Cornwall, N.Y.), Elizabeth Cownie (Concord, Mass.), Charlotte Gray (Sandy Hook, Conn.), and Muratori swam the 400 yard freestyle relay and finished in first place for the Cougars in a time of 4:00.12.

The Cougars travel to Trinity College on Friday, January 12th for a non-conference meet at 6:00 p.m.
