Swimming and Diving hosts Worcester City Championship

Worcester, Mass.--Clark University senior captain, Steven Castiglione (North Haven, Conn.) was named the Worcester City Championships Male Diver of the Meet. Castiglione was the 1-Meter (287.84) and 3-Meter (266.10) Champion. He achieved the first NCAA qualifying score on 1-Meter and set the new Clark school record.

Dylan Schrama (Taunton, Mass.), Bill Holloman (Avon, Conn.), Sebastian Ortega (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Johan Nel (Wayne, Maine) swam in the men's 200 Yard Medley Relay for Clark and placed 6th overall. Holloman placed 5th overall in the men's 50-yard breaststroke and freshman Kosta Drallios (Queens, N.Y.) finished in 8th place.

Schrama placed 6th overall in the men's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.82. Drallios finished first for Clark in the men's 200-yard IM in a time of 2:09.69.

Junior Quinn Mitchell (West Hartford, Conn.) placed 8th for Clark in the women's 100-yard butterfly event.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute was named the 2017 Worcester City Championship men's team champions and were awarded the Paul Parenteau trophy. Assumption College earned the 2017 women's team champion, Callie Taffe award.

The men's field includes Clark and Division I Holy Cross. The Engineers, Cougars and Crusaders are joined by Division II Assumption for the women's portion of the meet.
