Deneault Picked to Play in NEWISA Senior Bowl

WORCESTER, Mass.--Senior Emma Deneault (Holden, Mass.) will get to take the field one last time as a Cougar as she was chosen to play in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl at Merrimack College on December 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Deneault finished her career with three goals including two game winning goals from her position in the backfield. She started all 72 games over her four-year career and served two years as a team captain.

"Emma started and played virtually every minute of her entire career at center back.  She took a team that earned just four wins in her first two seasons to 15 wins in the last two seasons, and a post season berth in her senior year.  Emma was a two year captain and possibly the best leader I have had the privilege to work with in my 17 years as a collegiate coach.  I am thrilled to see Emma earn this well-deserved honor and I look forward to watching her compete one last time with some of the best collegiate players in New England," said head Coach Brie Smith.
