DUDLEY, Mass. – The Clark University women's soccer scored three first half goals in a 5-0 road victory over Nichols College in non-conference action Thursday afternoon at the Nichols Soccer Field. The Cougars have won three straight to start the season and have recorded three straight shutouts.
The Cougars saw five different player record goals and outshot the Bison 35-7 for the game – including 19-2 in shots on goal.
Sophomore Katie Barber (East Hampton, Conn.) notched the first goal of the game at 6:51 of the first half and the Cougars added two more before the end of the half. Juniors Alex Pariseau (Millbury, Mass.) and Eliza Meltzer (Framingham, Mass.) capped the scoring in the second half.
Seniors Ashley Cibotti (Norton, Mass.) and Taylor Souza (New Bedford, Mass.) paced the Bison with a pair of shots. Meltzer had a game-high five shots to lead the Cougars.
Nichols's junior Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) had a season-high 14 saves in the loss while sophomore Alison Carroll (Douglas, Mass.) collected a pair of saves in the win and her third shutout of the season.
The Cougars have won all three of the all-time meetings with the Bison in a series that dates back to 2015.
