Kansas City, Mo. – The 2015 edition of Clark University women's soccer was honored earlier this month for their hard work in the classroom with the NSCAA Team Academic Award, it was announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
In total, 915 soccer teams throughout America earned the award and Clark was one of just 236 teams to have both their men's and women's team earn the honor.
Buoyed by their five student-athletes who earned New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference honors, the Cougars finished with a 3.47 combined grade point average.
