Blake Wraps Up Career With All-New England Honors

Worcester, Mass. - After a standout senior season, Lauren Blake (Oakland, Maine) garnered All-New England honors by two different softball associations on Friday afternoon.

Blake collected second-team All-New England honors as voted by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and honorable mention honors by the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA).

In 36 games, Blake hit a team-leading .372 with 48 hits and moved into second place on the school's all-time list with 209 career hits.

The NEISCA honor is the third time she has been honored by that association (first-team in 2008, second-team in 2007), while the NFCA is the fourth such honor (first-team in 2007, 2008, 2009).
