Weather Doesn't Stop Boats At Head Of The Fish

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – On the water for the final time in the fall, the Clark University rowing program put three boats on the lake at the Head of the Fish Regatta this weekend.

The men's varsity four consisting of Freya Pollock (Asheville, N.C.), Jamie Chaitman (Old Chatham, N.Y.), Nick Reynolds (Lenox, Mass.), Grant Madigan-Kolstad (Concord, Mass.) and Alex Wheeler (Asheville, N.C.) churned out a 20th place finish in a time of 13:34.4.

With a heavy downpour throughout the race, the varsity eight consisting of Kate Barnett (West Simsbury, Conn.) Lydia Warters (Simsbury, Conn.), Halley Glier (Shelburne, Mass.), Emily Thibault (Williamsville, Vt.), Aubrey Hulbert (Reno, Nev.), Emily Ladda (Farmington, Conn.), Ella Scott (Hope, Maine), Mackenzie Satalino (East Hartford, Conn.), and Jess Martinez (Amherst, Mass.) – in the lineup for the first time – posted a solid time of 14:33.

The women's varsity eight led by cox Wenlen Lawrence (Austin, Texas) and Katie Meehan (Orange, Conn.), Cailyn Keely (Takoma Park, Md.), Olivia Young (Cranford, N.J.), Holly Bauer (Portland, Conn.), Alice Verme (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Arlynn Baer (Millburn, N.J.), Isabel Bleyer (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Juliette Gale (Bedford, Mass.) was also 14th, registering a time of 15:30.5.
