HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Judges got on the board with 20 minutes on the clock in the first half. Josh Ocel (North Attleboro, Mass.) found Gans in the 18-yard box who powered the ball through a sea of Clark defenders for the 1-0 lead.
-Ten minutes later the visitors were awarded a penalty shot following a Cougar foul in the box. Ocel lined up and fired a shot to the right side of Clark goalkeeper Connor Maguire (Dunstable, Mass.) to lift Brandeis to a 2-0 lead.
-With five minutes to play in the half the Judges added an insurance goal as a give and go from Andrew Allen (Norfolk, Mass.) to Gans resulted in a goal to the upper right corner and gave them the 3-0 lead.
-The visitors kept the pressure on and two minutes later added a fourth goal as Allen found senior Bernardo Ponte (Cambridge, Mass.) for the 4-0 lead that they took into the halftime break.
-The Cougars got off six shots in the first half and were awarded four corner kicks.
-Brandeis scored first in the second half with a goal from Max Breiter (Lincoln, Mass.) that was assisted by sophomore Jake Warren (Medway, Mass.) (5-0).
-Clark ended the visitors shut-out run with a goal in the 55th minute of play. Sophomore Evan Jurkowski (Ludlow, Mass.) crossed the ball from the right side of the 18-yard box and found sophomore Sean Munroe (Silver Spring, Md.) on the left side, who one-timed it behind Judge's goalkeeper Greg Irwin (Passaic, N.J.)
