Hendry, Howard Selected For NEISL All-Star Game
Middletown, Conn. – Clark seniors Trevor Hendry (Waterford, Conn.) and Kenny Howard (Longmeadow, Mass.) have both been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Senior All-Star Game it was announced on Thursday.
The game which matches South and West Region Division III All-Stars against North and East All-Stars - will be played on Sunday November 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the newly unveiled Soldiers Field on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
The award caps two standout careers for the four-year starters. Hendry, a two-year captain, started 66 games in the Cougar backfield in his career including 15 during Clark's run to the NCAA Tournament in 2008. He was named second-team all-conference in 2010 after anchoring one of the stingiest defense in the NEWMAC.
Howard, meanwhile, was also a permanent fixture in the Cougar lineup starting 65 games for Clark while earning two all-conference nods, including a first-team selection in 2009.
The duo follows in the footsteps of several other Clark student-athletes who have played in the prestigious contest, including David Blum (2008), current assistant coach Peter Wise (2009) and John Machado (2010).
