Middletown, Conn. – Harry Stanton scored four goals including the 100th of his career and host Wesleyan University held Clark University to one second half goal on their way to a 13-4 win over the Cougars in non-league men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars got on the board first just three minutes into the contest on a Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.) tally, but three consecutive Wesleyan goals from three different Cardinal players closed out the quarter.
Clark took advantage of a man-up opportunity early in the second on another Mandracchia strike but Wesleyan responded with a man-up goal of their own from Tom Dupont at the 10:54 mark.
Zander Kotsen extended the lead to 5-2 with 8:28 to play but the Cougars capitalized on another man-up opportunity with 2:36 on the clock, as Chris Rasco (Huntington, N.Y.) found the back of the net with help from Nick Johnson (Amherst, Mass.).
With time running out in the half, Carter Hawthorne snuck a shot past goalie Drew Riopelle-Tyrrell (Northville, Mich.) to give the home team a 6-3 lead at the break.
It was all Wesleyan in the second half as Stanton scored three consecutive goals in the third quarter, two off assists from Ryan Flippin and Christian Barker, while Barker made it a 10-3 game on a man-up goal with less than a minute left in the period.
In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals received a goal from Cory Ekstrom, and two from Taylor Ghesquiere before Johnson scored the final goal of the game with 26 seconds to play.

Mandracchia scored two of Clark's four goals, while Johnson finished with a goal and an assist.
Ryan MacNeil (Weymouth, Mass.) recorded a team-high five ground balls and caused a turnover, and Riopelle-Tyrrell stopped nine of 19 shots between the posts.
Clark returns home for a Wednesday evening showdown with Plymouth State beginning at 6:00 p.m.
