Fish, Mackey Named Second-Team All-Conference

Boston, Mass. – Clark University senior Talia Fish (Philadelphia, Pa.) and freshman Lauren Mackey (Dublin, N.H.) were both named to the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) field hockey all-conference second-team it was announced on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Fish wrapped up her career with a stellar senior campaign, finishing with a career-high 24 points, while leading the team with six assists.

She had a trio of multiple goal games in 2013, including totaling eight points (three goals, two assists) in a win over Becker and potting a pair of goals in wins over Anna Maria and Western New England.

A three-time academic all-conference honoree, Fish started and appeared in all 69 games of her career ending with 70 points (28 goals, 14 assists).

Mackey, meanwhile, made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season, finishing eighth in the league in goals (15) and points (32), while leading the team in both categories.

She started all 18 games and had several explosive offensive performances, including a four-goal, one-assist display in just her second career game - a 5-0 win over Becker. Mackey also had a hat trick in a win over Wheelock and scored two of the Cougars' three goals in a 3-0 win over Wheaton.

After finishing the 2013 season at 8-10 overall and missing out on the playoffs on the last day of the regular season, the Cougars will return six of their top seven scorers in 2014.
