LeBlanc Named NEWMAC Pitcher Of The Week

Babson Park, Mass. – Clark University junior hurler Andrew LeBlanc (Farmington, Conn.) has been named NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week it was announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office.

LeBlanc picks up his first career award on the strength of a dazzling performance in the Cougars' 8-1 win at the Coast Guard Academy on Saturday afternoon.

He tossed a complete game, allowing just one earned run, striking out a career-best 12 while scattering nine hits in the 8-1 nine inning victory.

The win for Clark and LeBlanc snapped an eight-game losing streak and salvaged a split of the twinbill with the Bears on the day.

Now 2-11 on the season, the Cougars embark on a busy week of non-conference games beginning with Tuesday visit from MCLA.
