The Clark University Sports Medicine staff is responsible for
the evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of all
athletic injuries incurred by the student-athletes in our 17
varsity programs. The staff includes two full-time certified
athletic trainers and 6-8 student aides . The Clark Athletic
Department is affiliated with physicians and other healthcare
providers from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center
Sports Medicine Department, one of the most highly regarded medical
facilities in New England. Clark’s affiliation with UMass
provides our student-athletes with access to a variety of services,
including orthopedic specialists.
The primary goal of the sports medicine staff is to ensure that
the health, safety, and welfare of our student-athletes are of the
highest quality. The staff is committed to doing everything
possible to return injured student-athletes to practice/competition
as soon as possible and to prevent further injuries. The staff
works with coaches to design conditioning and strength-training
programs and also offers educational programs.
